Lanipsebooks & Toni Tàpies Gallery
The Toni Tàpies Gallery currently focuses its activities on the artistic and commercial management of Antoni Tàpies’s artistic legacy and delegates this responsibility to Lanipsebooks with the marketing and distribution of all of Antoni Tàpies’ artist’s books published by Edicions T, as well as any others it deems appropriate from his artistic legacy.
Edicions T, directed by Toni Tàpies Barba, was founded in 1988 as a studio and publishing project for graphic works and artist’s books; years later, it was renamed the Toni Tàpies Gallery and to produce and present a solid, uninterrupted program featuring contemporary artists of recognized international prestige.
Toni Tàpies did outstanding work as a publisher of artist’s books, the main common thread among which was his father, Antoni Tàpies, in collaboration with writers, poets, and musicians of the caliber of Jacques Dupin, Joan Brossa, Pere Gimferrer, María Zambrano, Antonio Gamoneda, and Mestres-Quadreny, resulting in bibliophile books of great beauty.
Lanipsebooks is an independent project based in Barcelona dedicated to fine book collecting, advising collectors, and sourcing artists’ books, which it promotes and sells at art fairs, exhibitions, and cultural events, highlighting their artistic, cultural, and literary value.
